Abi joined Macrae after working for the Department of Justice, where she supported the National Security Division as a Paralegal for the Counterterrorism Section. Her responsibilities included legal research, case management, report drafting, and the development of briefing material for internal and external stakeholders. She also previously served as a Courtroom Clerk for the Arlington County Circuit Court, where she worked closely with judges to support the legal process by taking minutes of court proceedings, maintaining electronic case files, and processing exhibits. She hails from Virginia Beach, VA, and relocated to D.C. in the summer of 2023 for a legal assistant role at a boutique patent firm.
Abi graduated from William & Mary in 2023 with a B.S. in Psychological Sciences with a minor in Education Policy. As an undergraduate student, she interned for the Department of Education in the Office of the General Counsel and the William & Mary Law School’s Special Education Advocacy Clinic. She also engaged in programming for the First-Generation Low-Income Student Organization and the William & Mary DC Center. In her free time, she enjoys live music, taking long walks in Rock Creek Park, and trying new dairy-free baking recipes.
