Contingent Search

For clients who wish to work with multiple recruiters on a contingency basis, we invest significant time to meet with the office managing partner, key practice leaders, and the client’s management team to gather the knowledge that enables us to distinguish the client effectively. We aim to send highly qualified partners to our clients on an ongoing basis and we can quickly tap into our extensive network as needs come up or as priorities change.

Exclusive or Retained Search

For clients who are seeking to fill a specific and strategically important role on a timeline, we offer exclusive or retained search methodology to source, screen and select candidates. We prepare a target list and detailed report about the firm, the role and the key differentiators. We then pursue the candidates until we reach them. Throughout the search process, we coordinate seamlessly with our clients and provide detailed status updates.

  1. Briefing and Role Definition
    We invest as much time as necessary to understand the differentiators of each law firm and the issues that will determine the success of a new partner.

  2. Research and Screening
    We diligently research the market to identify the best candidates and personally call and screen each prospect to establish a potential fit for the role.

  3. Management of the Interview Process
    Many potentially successful recruitment assignments falter because the client, the candidate or both parties are not properly briefed prior to and following interviews. We actively manage this critical stage of the recruiting process, providing accurate and insightful feedback to clients and candidates and ensuring that the right match is not only identified but is successfully hired.

  4. Package and Close
    We can be as proactive or invisible as the client requires in the closing stages of the search. As needed, we advise on compensation, market rates, and how to best distinguish a firm and the opportunity from other firms making competing offers.
