In his nearly 25 years as a recruiter in the New York market, he has helped hundreds of lawyers advance their careers by making strategic lateral moves to the right firm at the right time. Likewise, he has helped dozens of law firms strengthen their New York presence and build out both emerging and well-established practices.

Known for his deep integrity, market knowledge and warmth, Jon enjoys developing and maintaining strong long-term relationships with candidates and clients. He collaborates closely with each candidate to understand the nuances of their practice, what they seek to accomplish through a lateral move, and the kind of work environment and culture in which they thrive. Law firm leaders frequently call on him for his keen insight into emerging New York and national market trends, compensation issues, and how to build balanced and effective teams. Jon works across practice areas with an emphasis on corporate law, and many firms consider him their go-to advisor when embarking on the most challenging “needle in a haystack” searches.

Prior to joining Macrae, Jon was Co-Head of Lateral Partner Placement at boutique New York legal recruiting firm Greene-Levin-Snyder. He holds a B.S. in international business from Florida Atlantic University.
