Julieta is a Managing Director based in San Francisco. She places partners and partner groups into elite law firms, relying on her more than 20 years of experience as a legal recruiter in the market to make expert matches that endure.

A lifelong “relationship-builder,” Julieta strives to become a trusted advisor to both candidates and clients. She takes a highly collaborative approach to guiding candidates through the lateral move process, from preparing candidates for interviews to weighing and negotiating offers. In every case, Julieta aims to truly understand what a candidate is seeking from a practice and career perspective as well as from a personal one. She enjoys maintaining close and long-term ties with many candidates.

Prior to joining Macrae in 2023, Julieta was a Managing Director at a national boutique legal search firm. She previously served as a senior recruiting professional at several prestigious law firms, most recently as Director of Attorney Recruiting and Diversity at Fenwick & West, where she held a 15-year tenure. This work has given her a deep understanding of strategic expansion within law firms, and in particular the vital role skillful execution and integration play in making growth strategies a success.

Julieta received her B.A. from Santa Clara University, and her M.A. in Human Resources and Organizational Development from University of San Francisco.  She enjoys being active in the legal recruiting community and has held leadership roles at organizations including NALP, and the Bay Area Legal Recruitment Association, where she served as President.

Besides spending time with her husband and two kids, Julieta enjoys paddle boarding on the San Francisco Bay, trying new restaurants and continually being surprised at experiencing all SF has to offer even after living in the city for over 25 years.
