Joyce specializes in partner and group placements across a broad range of practice areas. Known for her consultative, transparent approach, she focuses on creating long-term matches that align a candidate’s motivations, values, and goals with a firm’s culture and strategic priorities.

Before joining Macrae, Joyce spent several years at a global legal search firm, where she led executive searches for both public and private companies, placing Chief Legal Officers, General Counsels, Chief Compliance Officers, VPs, and department heads, as well as building in-house legal and compliance teams. She also headed the firm’s Law Firm Management division, recruiting senior executives for AmLaw 100 firms. Earlier in her career, Joyce held recruiting roles at Skadden and Foley & Lardner on both the East and West Coasts. Her extensive experience across the in-house and law firm markets makes her a trusted advisor to clients and candidates alike.

Joyce began her career as a litigator in the Delaware Court of Chancery. She earned her J.D. from the William & Mary School of Law, where she was Editor-in-Chief of the William & Mary Journal of Race, Gender, and Social Justice, and her B.A. from the University of Rochester.

Based in the San Francisco Bay Area, Joyce lives with her teenage son and is active in learning difference and dyslexia awareness as well as women’s health advocacy.
