Justine places lateral partners and senior government attorneys into leading law firms throughout the Washington, D.C. region. She works across all practice areas, with a special interest in antitrust that draws on her years of experience as an antitrust lawyer. Her approach is to bring clients and candidates together based on a deep understanding of the strategic and cultural objectives sought by each, resulting in mutually aligned and successful placements. Her extensive market knowledge, candor and discretion guide her recruiting practice. 

Justine joined Macrae from Garrison & Sisson. Prior to her transition to recruiting in 2014 she practiced law for more than 13 years. She worked in private practice as well as at the Department of Justice, Antitrust Division where she led merger investigations and litigated significant multi-district class actions. She received her JD from American University, Washington College of Law and her undergraduate degree from Lehigh University. 

In 2017, Justine co-founded the Women’s Antitrust Forum (WAF), an organization that brings together senior-level antitrust practitioners for substantive programs and networking events. She is also active in the ABA Antitrust Law Section’s Women.Connected Committee, where she has organized a number of programs relating to careers and advancement in antitrust and competition. 

Journalists frequently call on Justine for insight into the D.C. legal market and commentary on broader industry developments and trends, and her writing on such topics has appeared in The American Lawyer. Lawdragon, which profiled her here, has named her to its annual guide to the “Global 100 Leaders in Legal Strategy & Consulting” each year since 2022.
