Lex is a Managing Director at Macrae in London, where he advises law firm partners and firm leadership on senior appointments, lateral partner moves, and strategic growth decisions for leading UK, US, and international firms.

Lex brings over 15 years’ experience in the legal industry, spanning private practice, senior in-house roles at London Stock Exchange Group and Thomson Reuters, commercial leadership positions within US-based legal technology businesses, and more recently working in legal executive search. He combines an insider’s understanding of how law firms operate with the experience of leading and scaling commercial organizations.

He is known for his measured, relationship-led approach and for acting as a trusted advisor to candidates and clients throughout complex and often sensitive processes, where discretion, judgement, and long-term perspective matter.

Lex trained and practised as a corporate lawyer at Nabarro LLP, working on M&A and venture capital transactions. He holds a BA from the University of Nottingham and an MA from The Courtauld Institute. Lex completed his legal studies at Nottingham Law School.
