Megan is a Washington, DC–based legal recruiter advising law firm partners and senior government officials on transitions into private practice, with a focus on litigation, regulatory, and enforcement-driven practices. She works closely with leading US and international law firms on select partner searches in the DC market.
Prior to joining Macrae, Megan spent two decades as a financial and political journalist, including senior roles at ABC News. As Coordinating Producer for ABC News Live, she helped set coverage priorities and worked closely with experienced legal analysts, former regulators, and senior policymakers - experience that informs her understanding of how complex legal issues are evaluated in public and regulatory settings. Earlier at ABC News, Megan managed evening coverage of the White House and Capitol Hill. She has overseen and conducted hundreds of high-stakes interviews for Good Morning America, ABC News Live, and Nightline. As Bloomberg Television's Washington Correspondent, she covered the intersection of money and politics, financial regulation, and securities markets.
Throughout her journalism career, she tracked enforcement actions and regulatory disputes that remain central to partner-level demand in Washington. Drawing on this background, Megan offers a market-informed perspective to advising partners in areas such as securities and financial litigation, antitrust and competition, and appellate litigation. She also guides candidates in assessing how their practices align with firm growth strategies.
Megan earned undergraduate and graduate degrees from Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism with Phi Beta Kappa honors and holds a Corporate Communications Certificate from eCornell. She has also taught as Adjunct Professor at Boston University’s Washington DC program and won an Edward R. Murrow award for her reporting.
